Agniveer Terms & Conditions of Service Under Army Act
Enrolment Conditions: Agniveer will be enrolled in the Ionian Army under the provisions of Army Act 1950.
Engagement Conditions: Agniveer Service Period in the Indian Army will be for four years including training period.

| Agniveers would be subject to the Army Act, 1950 and would be liable to travel by water, land or air, wherever ordered by the Indian Army for deployment. | |
| Agniveers can be assigned any work in the organizational interest as decided from time to time during the service. | |
| Agniveer Posting & Transfer | Agniveers can be posted in any Regiment/Unit and can be transferred to other Regiments/Units in organizational interest. |
| Agniveer Service Conditions | |
| The service of Agniveers under Agneepath scheme will start from the date of enrollment. | |
| Agniveer Rank will be a separate rank in the Indian Army which is different from any of the existing ranks. | |
| The pay, leave, uniform and allowances during Agniveer's service period of four years shall be governed by the orders and instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time. | |
| Agniveer will be liable to perform any duties as may be decided from time to time in the interest of the Unit/ Regiment/ Organization. | |
| Agniveer's performance so displayed will be treated as an offer for enrollment for recruitment in the Regular Army. | |
| Agniveers can be posted to any Regiment/Unit and can be transferred further in the interest of the organization. | |
| Terms and conditions of Agniveers to Join Indian Army in regular cadre | |
| Agniveer is required to complete his military engagement in each batch depending on the organizational requirements and declared policies. | |
| Agniveer will be provided with the opportunity to apply for permanent induction in the Indian Army. | |
| Agniveer's application will be considered by the Army in a centralized manner. | |
| Only 25% agniveer of each specific batch of Agniveers will be enrolled in regular cadre of the Indian army. | |
| An Agniveer is required to complete engagement period of four years in the Indian Army. | |
| Terms and Conditions for enrolment in Regualar Cardre in the Army | |
| Agniveers will be enrolled for a further period of 15 years on permanent basis in the Indian Army. | |
| Soldiers recruited permanently for 15 years will be subject to the terms and conditions of service applicable to "Other Rank and Junior Commissioned Officers" of the Indian Army. | |
| Agniveer himself will have no right to be selected on permanent basis in the indian army. | |
| The selection of soldiers will be exclusively under the jurisdiction of the Indian Army. | |
| With the implementation of the Agneepath scheme, enrollment of soldiers in the regular cadre of the Indian Army will be available only to those personnel who have completed their period of contract as Agniveers, except in the technical cadre of the medical branch. | |

| The Agniveer pay is a composite package. | |
| Monthly Deduction in Corpus Fund | 30% amount of pay in each month |
| Total Deduction in Seva Nidhi in 4 years | Rs 5.02 Lakh |
| Total amount paid by Govt of India in Seva Nidhi | Rs 5.02 Lakhs |
| Total Amount of Corpus Fund | Rs 10.04 Lhaks Plus Interest will be paid to Agniveer. (Rs 11.71 Lakhs) |
| Service Fund Package Payment Methods | Agniveer will be given two options for availing Agniveer Corpus Fund which aims to provide financial credit for self-employment scheme and entrepreneurship (ability to innovate) through bank guarantee and to meet immediate/contingency expenses on exit from service. The specific details of the service fund will be published separately. |
| Agniveer Allowances Applicable | |
| Aganiveer will applicable for Risk Allowance, Hardship Allowance/ Field Allowance, Ration Allowance, Dress Allowance and Travel allowances as decided by the GoI from time to time. | |
| The Agniveer will not be eligible for any Dearness Allowance |

| The Agniveer will not be eligible for Military Service Pay (MSP). | |
| Contribution of Funds | Agniveers will be exempted from making any type of contribution in Armed Forces Personnel Provident Fund or any other Provident Fund |
| Agniveer Pension Benefits | Agniveer will Not entitle service pension benefits. |
| Agniveer Gratuity | Agniveer will Not entitle Service Gratuity benefits. |
| Agniveer Terms & Conditions Termination/ Release from Service. | |
| The maximum period of service for Agniveers will be for 4 (four) years | |
| The services of Agniveers under Agnipath scheme may be terminated at any time in accordance with the Army Act 1950. |

| Agniveer Discharge From Service Conditions | |
| Discharge from service at own request prior to completion of terms of engagement of Agniveers is not permitted. | |
| Release from service under own request under the Agneepath scheme may be sanctioned by competent authority of the Army under certain circumstances. | |
| Agniveers will be paid a 'Seva Nidhi' package on their release after the completion of four years of service so that they can return to the society for employment in other sectors. | |
| Agniveer will not be eligible for any pension or gratuity, Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), Canteen Store Department (CSD) facilities, Ex-Servicemen status and other related benefits. | |
| Official Secrets Act 1923 | Under the Official Secrets Act 1923, Agniveers would be prohibited from disclosing classified information obtained while in service to any unauthorized person or source. |
| Agniveer Education / Skill / Efficiency Related Benefits | |
| Agniveer Skill Certificate | At the end of the Agniveer contract period, Agniveers will be awarded a detailed skill set certificate, highlighting the level of skill and competency acquired by Agniveer during the period of his military engagement. |
| Agniveers recruited after class 10th will be given a certificate of 12th Class Pass (equivalent examination) on the basis of skills acquired on completion of their engagement period of 4 years of Military Service. | |
