Full Form of CAPF, BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, AR, NIA, SSF, SSC, PET, PST is:-

CAPF= Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF): The Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) refers to uniform nomenclature of seven security forces in India under the authority of Ministry of Home Affairs.

BSF=Border Security Force(BSF): The primary role of the BSF is to provide border areas security of the country, except the mountains.Is headed by an Indian Police Service Officer.

CISF=Central Industrial Security Force(CISF): One of the largest industrial security forces in the world,CISF provides security to various Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and other critical infrastructure installations across the country. It has a total strength of about 165,000 personnel in 132 battalions.

CRPF=Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): The Central Reserve Police includes:

  • The Rapid Action Force(RAF),
  • The Commando Battalion for Resuolute Action(COBRA).

ITBP=Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP): ITBP is deployed for guarding duties on the border with China from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Diphu La in Arunachal Pradesh covering a total distance of 2488 km.

SSB=Sashastra Seema Bal(SSB): The objective of the SSB is to guard the Indo-Nepal and Indo-Bhutan Borders.

NIA=National Investigation Agency(NIA):  NIA is a central agency established by the Indian Government to combat terror in India.[3] It acts as the Central Counter Terrorism Law Enforcement Agency. The agency is empowered to deal with terror related crimes across states without special permission from the states.

SSF=Secretariat Security Force(SSF): SSF is basically for providing security cover to the secretariat buildings.

AR=Assam Rifles(AR): The Assam Rifles is the oldest of paramilitary force of India. The unit can trace its lineage back to a paramilitary police force that was formed under the British in 1835. The role of the Assam Rifles continued to evolve when in 1950 a devastating earthquake hit the Assam region and the force was called in to assist in the reconstruction of the areas and help in the resettlement and rehabilitation of those affected by it.

Computer Based Examination: All candidates whose online applications for recruitment in BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, AR, NIA, SSF are found correct will be called to appear in the Computer Based Examination (CBE) for SSC Costable GD Exam. The Computer based examination will consist of one objective type paper containing 100 questions carrying 100 marks, with the following composition:

Language of SSC GD Constable Exam:  The computer based examination will be conducted in English and Hindi only.

Type of Question: All questions for SSC GD Constable Exam will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type.

Level of Question Paper: The questions for SSC GD Constable Exam in all the above components will be of 10th class/ Matriculation level.

Physical Syllabus for SSC GD Constable Exam: On completion of CBE (Computer Based Exam) for recruitment of SSC Constable GD exam, Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) will be carried out as per PET for male and female candidates given below:-

PET for Male Candidates: 5 Kms (5000 mtr) Race to be completed  within 24 minutes for SSC Constable GD male candidates.

PET for Female Candidates: 1.6 Kms (1600 mtr) Race to completed  within 8 minutes and 30 seconds for constable GD female candidates.

Exam Syllabus for SSC Constable GD 2018The syllabus for the Computer Based  Examination for constable GD SSC will be as follows:-

Part-A General Intelligence and Reasoning: GI & Reasoning written exam for SSC GD constable, analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences,  spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non- verbal series, coding and decoding, etc.

Part-B General Knowledge and General Awareness: GK & GA written exam syllabus for SSC GD constable, questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, and scientific Research etc. These Questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

Part-C Elementary Mathematics: Mathematics exam syllabus for SSC Constable GD Exam will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.

Part-D English/ Hindi Syllabus for SSC GD Exam: Candidates’ ability to understand basic English/ Hindi and his basic comprehension would be tested.

(b) Candidates should focus on their Goal and  they should practice regular reading.

(c) Candidates are required to study subject wise topics, so they should take one topic at a time and practice more and more questions on that topic for making their strength for SSC GD exam.
