Remarks: (a) In right handed person, the Right eye is better eye and vice versa. (b) Binocular vision is required. (c) Minimum colour perception required is to recognize RED & GREEN Colours.

 

Medical Examination Test: The candidates must not have knock-knee, flat foot, varicose veins, squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision. The candidates will be tested for colour vision by ISIHARA’s test as well as Edrich-Green Lantern test. Candidates must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of their duties.

Impressibility of Tattoo:  Being a secular country, the religious sentiments of our countrymen are to be respected and thus tattoos depicting religious symbol or figure and the name, as followed in India army, are to be permitted.

  • Location: Tattoos marked on traditional sites of the body like inner aspect of forearm, but
    only LEFT forearm, being non saluting limb or dorsum of the hands are to be allowed.
  • Size: Size must be less than ¼ of the particular part (Elbow or Hand) of the body.

HOW TO APPLY ITBP RECRUITMENT ONLINE

Online Application: Eligible and interested candidates should apply through website www.recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in. Candidates are advised to fill the application form after reading the instructions carefully.

Application Fee and Mode of Payment: Male candidates belonging to General(UR)/ OBC category applying for recruitment to the above posts should pay Rs. 100/- as application fee through online payment gateway system on www.recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in.

Fee Exemption: Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, females and Ex-servicemen are exempted from paying fee.

ITBP BHARTI SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR CONSTABLE TRADESMEN

Selection Procedure: The candidates whose applications are found in order, shall be issued bar coded admit cards to appear in recruitment test. The date, time and place of recruitment test will be given in the Admit Card. Before start of physical efficiency test (PET) and physical standard test (PST) the candidates will undergo through verification of identity including Biometric capture. All candidates will have to undergo the following recruitment tests:-

PHASE – I

Height Bar Test: At the very beginning of recruitment process, candidates will go through the height bar test. The candidates not meeting the prescribed height will be eliminated.

Physical Efficiency Test PET: Those  candidates, who qualify the Height Bar Test, will be subjected to physical efficiency test. The events of the PET are as follows:-

PHYSICAL STANDARD TEST (PST)  FOR ITBP BHARTI 

Height, Chest  and Weight Measurements: Candidates who qualify the Physical Efficiency Test will be screened for Height, Chest and Weight measurements. Those who do not meet the required physical measurements as applicable will be eliminated at this stage.

TRADE TESTS ITBP BHARTI – 50 MARKS

Trade Test for Tradesmen: The candidates who qualify the PST will be put through the respective trade test. Each candidate will be allowed to appear for one trade test only as applied in the application form. This trade test will carry 50 marks. (Qualifying marks shall be 50% for General Candidates & Ex-servicemen and 40% for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Class (NCL). The trade test criteria are given as under:-

ADMIT CARD FOR ITBP WRITTEN EXAM

Issue of Admit Card: Admit Card for written examination to the  candidates, who qualify PET, PST and Trade Test will be issued online by mentioning date and venue of written test. A list of candidates qualified for written test will also be uploaded on ITBP website i.e. www.itbpolice.nic.in.

PHASE – II

WRITTEN TEST ITBP BHARTI 

OMR Based Written Examination: Candidates who qualify Physical Efficiency Test PET, Physical Standard Test PST  and Trade Test in Phase-I will have to appear in written examination. OMR Based written test will be as under:-

  • The written test for 50 marks containing 50 questions will consist of only OMR based objective type multiple choice questions to be answered using a Blue or Black Ball pen only.
  • The question paper will be set bilingually in Hindi and English.
  • The cut-off percentage of marks for qualifying in written exam will be as under:-
  • General and Ex-Servicemen  – 35%
  • ST, SC and OBC                       – 33%

SYLLABUS FOR ITBP WRITTEN EXAMINATION

Note: There are 10 questions for Hindi and 10 questions or English each and candidates have a option to attempt 10 questions in either of the language. The question papers can be answered either in Hindi or in English. Option for Hindi or English shall be mentioned on the OMR Sheet.
Candidates should bring two blue or black ball pens for written examination.
The OMR answer sheet of written test will be processed/scanned in electronic machine. Any wrong entry of roll number, name, question booklet, number of question paper series will render the OMR sheet invalid and the same will not be evaluated. ITBP BHARTI MERIT LIST

Merit List: Merit list in each category namely UR, SC, ST, OBC and Ex-servicemen will be drawn on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the professional trade test and written test. While calculating combined marks, the marks obtained by a candidate in the written test will be given 60% weightage and the marks obtained in the Trade Test will be given 40% weightage and on the basis of the same merit list will be prepared according to the total marks scored. On the basis of this merit the candidates shall be shortlisted for detailed medical examination as per the trade-wise and category-wise vacancies.

PHASE – III

DOCUMENTS VERIFICATION ITBP BHARTI

Original Documents Verification: Original documents will be returned on the spot after verification and self attested copies of certificates will be retained with the application. Following original documents will be required for verification:-

  • Educational Certificates.
  • Date of birth Certificate as in Matriculation or 10th Class Certificate.
  •  Professional/Experience Certificate, if any.
  •  Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Certificate, as Annexure-II and OBC certificate, as Annexure- ‘III’ (if belonging to any of these categories) issued by an authority not lower than Tehsildar or SDO. Candidates claiming OBC (NCL) status may note that certificate on creamy layer status should have been obtained within three years before the closing date i.e. 07 Sept 2017.
  •  Domicile Certificate issued by local revenue authorities or PAN Card or Aadhar Card or Driving License or Voter ID Card or Passport for verification of citizenship.
  •   Discharge certificate in case of Ex-Servicemen.
  •  Certificate as per Annexure ‘V’ for claiming relaxation in height & chest (if applicable)

MEDICAL TEST ITBP BHARTI

Detailed Medical Examination: Candidates shortlisted in order of merit as per category wise  number of vacancies, will be put through detailed medical examination to assess their fitness as per medical policy issued by MHA.

Appeal Against Detailed Medical Exam: A candidate declared unfit in detailed medical examination if not satisfied with the findings of the Medical Officer, can submit an appeal for his Re-Medical Examination (RME) with duly filled Medical certificate (at Annexure-VII) as a proof of evidence about the error of judgment on the part of Recruitment Medical Officer. The application for re-medical examination shall be sent to The Inspector General (NW) Frontier, ITB Police Force, PO – Seema Nagar, Near Airport, Chandigarh (UT) Pin – 160003.
