Eligibility Criteria for Puducherry Police Bharti

Education: Education Qualification required for Puducherry Police Constable recruitment is 12th standard.

Age Limit: Age Lime for Puducherry Police between 18 to 22 years of age.

Age Relaxation: Age concession for Puducherry Police Bharati will as as under:-

(a) MBC/OBC/IEBC/BCM/BT  = 3 Years

(b) SC/ST = 5 Years

(c)  Meritorious person sports: 5 year (in respect of reserved applicants, over and above he admissible relaxation of 5 year for SC and 3 year for MBC/OBC IE,BC /BCM/BT)

Physical Standard Men Candidate Puducherry Police:

Height : Minimum height required Not less than 165 cms

Chest : Minimum Chest required Not less than 8 1 to 86 cms, with minimum expansion of 5 cms

Weight: Body Mass Index(BMI) – Should be 18.50 to 29.9 Kg. lM2 Minimum

Physical Standard Women Candidate Puducherry Police

Height: Not less than 154 cms

Weight: 45 kgs Minimum.

Puducherry Police Selection Process:

Eligible Candidate for recruitment in Puducherry Police  shall be issued call letter to appear in the following following Tests.  The date and Place of recruitment test will be indicated in call letters. Candidates
will have to undergo the following PST/PMT tests.

(a) Physical Measurement Test: Candidates will be screened first for Height, Chest (Men),  BMI  (Weight). Candidates will be screened first for Height and Weight for Women

(b)  Physical Efficiency Test: Candidates who satisfy in the above conditions of Physical Measurement Test will be admitted for the Physical Efficiency Test.

Physical Efficiency Test for Puducherry Police

PFT for Male Candidates:

Stage-l  –  800mts Run within 2 minutes and 50 seconds

Stage-II – Long Jump – 3.80 Mtrs

Stage-lll – High Jump – 1.20 Mtrs

Stage-lV -100 meters run within 15 Seconds.

Note: Ex-servicemen are exempted from PFT.

PFT for Female candidates:

Stage-l – 200 Mtrs  Run within 45 seconds

Stage-ll – Long Jump 2.7 Meters

Stage-III – High Jump 0.9 Meters (90 cms)

Physical Efficiency Test for Puducherry Police Constable Bharti are compulsory for all candidates.

Puducherry Police Written Examination

Puducherry Police Written Test : 200 Marks

(a) On completion of Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test all the candidates have to appear in written examination for Puducherry Police Bharati.

Question Paper for Puducherry Police Bharti:

(b) The questions will be in objective type and will be generally of +2 standard. The question paper will be in two parts each of two hours duration.

(c) The written test of Puducherri Police will be in English and Regional languages i.e for candidates from Puducherry and Karaikal in Tamil, for Mahe in Malyalam and for Yanam  in Telugu. The Questions for General English shall be only in English Language.

Puducherry Police Medical Test

Medical Examination:  The candidates selected in the Written Test shall be subjected for medical examination to access their medical fitness as per the medical standards prescribed through the Standing Order issued by the Government.

Medical Standards Puducherry Police:

(a) Eye sight:

Distant Vision
I.Normal-Both eyes should be 6/6
OR
(1) Better eye with correction 6/6
(2)Worse eye vision 6/ 12(without correction)
OR
Both eyes should be 6/9
Near Vision
Normal- Both eyed should be J1
OR
Better eye with correction J1 and worse eye
without correction J11

II. Free from colour blindness

(b) Hearing: Free from any disability

(c) Defects or deformity: Free from any defect or deformity of limbs.

(d) Disease:  Free from hernia, piles, respiratory disease, diabetes orany other disease, which will
adversely affect the work of Police Constable.

(e) Other: Should not be flat-footed or suffering from knocked-knees and bowed legs and should not obesed BMI more than 29.9 Kg /M2 will be discarded.
