AP Postal Circle Sports Quota Bharti Notification 2024: Indian postal circle is conducting MTS, Shorting Assistant vacancies to fill up a total of 75 vacancies as per rules. Recruitment of eligible sportsperson will be made to the following posts under the Sports Quota:-

(a) Postal Assistant (PA) in Post Offices or Railway Mail Offices

(b) Sorting Assistant (SA) in Railway Mail Service (RMS)

(c) Postal Assistant in Circle Office & Regional offices. [PA (CO/RO)]

(d) Postal Assistant in Savings Bank Control Organization [PA (SBCO)]

(e) Postman in Post Offices

(f) MTS in Post Offices or Railway Mail Service (RMS) and Postal Stores Depot.

Salary: Pay and allowances for appointment into the post office department as a sportsman are given in the table below:-

Andhra Pradesh Postal Circle Sports Quota Bharti Probation and Training

Probation: Candidate the selected will be appointed and will be on probation for a period of two years.

Training: The training will be imparted to the Candidate selected as prescribed by the Department of the post.

Andhra Pradesh Postal Circle Sports Quota Bharti Education qualification

(i) Postal /Sorting Assistant Education Qualification:-

• Must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

• There are no bonus marks or preferences for higher education qualifications.

• The candidates will be required to furnish Basic Computer Training Certificate from a recognised computer training institute before issuance of the appointment letter. Computer Training Certificates from Central Government/State Government/University/Boards etc. Will also be acceptable for this purpose. This requirement of the Basic Computer Knowledge Certificate shall be relaxable in cases where a candidate has studied computer as a subject in matriculation or Class XII or Higher educational qualification and in such cases, a separate certificate will not be insisted upon.

• Sports Qualification – Mention Below.

(ii) Postman Education Qualification:-

• 12th standard pass from a recognized Board.

• Knowledge of Local Language (i.e.Telugu). The candidate should have studied the local language  (i.e.Telugu). at least up to the 10th standard.

• There are no bonus marks or preferences for higher education qualifications.

• The candidates will be required to furnish a certificate of Basic Computer Training from a recognized Computer training institute before issuance of the appointment letter. Computer Training Certificates from Central Government/State Government/University/Boards etc. will also be acceptable for this purpose. This requirement of Basic Computer Knowledge is relaxable in cases where a candidate has studied Computer as a subject in matriculation or Class XII or Higher educational qualification and in such cases, a separate certificate will not be insisted upon.

• The candidate should have a valid driving license for a two-wheeler or light motor vehicle. (This is applicable only to candidates applying for the post of the postman.)

• A candidate not having a valid driving license at the time of appointment shall not earn a periodical increment in pay till the production of such license or for a period of five years from the date of appointment whichever is earlier and after the production of such license or expiry of such five years period, the pay shall be restored prospectively to the level pay would have reached had the periodical increment in pay was not withheld and no arrears of pay shall be paid for the intervening period.

(iii) Postal MTS Education Qualification (Multitasking Staff):-

• 10th standard pass from a recognized Board.

• Knowledge of Local Language (i.e.Telugu). The candidate should have studied the local language (i.e.Telugu) at least up to the 10th standard.

• There are no bonus marks or preferences for higher education qualifications.

• Sports Qualification – Mention Below.

Sports Qualification (Eligibility Criteria)

The candidates with the following qualifications shall be considered meritorious for the purpose of recruitment under the sports quota –

(a) Sportsmen who have represented a State or the Country in the National or International competition in any of the games/sports.

(b) Sportsmen who have represented their University in the Inter-University tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Boards in any of the games/sports.

(c) Sportsmen who have represented the State Schools Teams in the National games/sports for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation in any of the games/sports.

(d) Sportsmen who have been awarded National Awards in Physical Efficiency under the National Physical Efficiency Drive.
