5. Endurance Test (ET): After passing the Physical Standard Test (PST), the Endurance Test is the next important stage in the selection process for Tamil Nadu Police Recruitment. The ET is to assess a candidate’s physical fitness, endurance, and ability to perform tasks that are essential for police duties.

- Running Stamina: Candidates are required to cover a specified distance within a predetermined time frame. This assesses their cardiovascular endurance and speed.
- Jumping Skills: Long jump and high jump tasks measure candidates’ explosive power and coordination.
- Rope Climbing: Climbing a rope tests upper body strength and coordination skills.
- Shot Put: Candidates demonstrate their upper body strength by throwing a heavy ball (shot) over a set distance.

6. Physical Efficiency Test: After passing the Endurance Tes, the Physical Efficiency Test is the next important stage in the selection process for Tamil Nadu Police Recruitment. This test assesses your physical fitness and readiness for the role of a police officer.

- In PET, candidates’ physical efficiency is assessed to measure their fitness and eligibility for recruitment.
- During the Physical Efficiency Test, candidates must perform activities such as Rope Climbing, long jump, High jump, pull-ups, sit-ups, and other exercises.
- Candidates must complete activities within the given time to qualify for the next round.
- Rope Climbing: In this test, you are required to climb a vertical rope. This task evaluates your upper body strength, grip, and coordination. These skills are often crucial for law enforcement duties.
- Long Jump: The long jump involves starting from a specific line and leaping a distance. Your jumping technique, power, and coordination are assessed here.
- High Jump: In the high jump, you need to clear a height by jumping over a bar. This test measures your explosive power, flexibility, and coordination.
- Candidates who fail to complete the race within the allotted time will not proceed to the next stage of the recruitment process, as they will be deemed to have failed the physical efficiency test (PET).
- Men candidates will compulsorily have to attend rope climbing. Three chances will be given to the candidates in rope climbing. A minimum one-star recipient shall be permitted for the next stage of selection.
- Three chances will be given for the event of a long jump / high jump. The highest score of these three changes will be considered for qualification.
- Candidates will be given only one chance to run.
- Three chances will be given for the events of the long jump, Shot put / Cricket ball throw.
